Lifshitz fermionic theories with z=2 anisotropic scaling

open access: yes, 2012
We construct fermionic Lagrangians with anisotropic scaling z=2, the natural counterpart of the usual z=2 Lifshitz field theories for scalar fields. We analyze the issue of chiral symmetry, construct the Noether axial currents and discuss the chiral ...

Holography and chiral Lagrangian [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
In a wide class of holographic models described by the Yang-Mills and Chern-Simons terms, we derive all the ${\cal O}(p^6)$ Chiral Perturbation Theory low-energy constants. Various model-independent relations exist among the constants up to this order, generalizing the previously found relations at $p^4$ order. Some of them can be extended to relations

Chiral Lagrangians and the QCD string [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1999
We propose a method to derive the low-energy efective action of QCD assuming that the long-distance properties of strong interactions can be described by a string theory. We bypass the usual problems related to the existence of the tachyon and absence of the adequate Adler zero by using a sigma model approach where excitations above the correct ...

S-wave Meson-Nucleon Interactions and the Meson Mass in Nuclear Matter from Chiral Effective Lagrangians

open access: yes, 1995
Chiral effective lagrangians may differ in their prediction of meson-nucleon scattering amplitudes off-meson-mass-shell, but must yield identical S-matrix elements.

Topological susceptibility and QCD axion mass: QED and NNLO corrections

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We improve the precision of the topological susceptibility of QCD, and therefore of the QCD axion mass, by including O(α em) and NNLO corrections in the chiral expansion, which amount to 0.65(21)% and -0.71(29)% respectively.

Field redefinitions and Plebanski formalism for GR

open access: yes, 2017
We point out that there exists a family of transformations acting on BF-type Lagrangians of gravity, with Lagrangians related by such a transformation corresponding to classically equivalent theories.

Two-meson cloud contribution to the baryon antidecuplet binding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We study the two-meson virtual cloud contribution to the self-energy of the SU(3) antidecuplet, to which the Theta+ pentaquark is assumed to belong. This is motivated by the large branching ratio of the N(1710) decay into two pions and one nucleon.

Antinucleon-nucleon interaction at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order in chiral effective field theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
Results for the antinucleon-nucleon N ¯ N $$ \left(\overline{N}\;N\right) $$ interaction obtained at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order in chiral effective field theory (EFT) are reported.

Chiral metric meson Lagrangians

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1970
Abstract The currents associated with the chiral-invariant pseudoscalar meson Lagrangian, constructed from a certain metric tensor on a G-manifold, are investigated. The relation between these currents, the Sugawara model and the linearized version of chiral theories in which a set of free fields is constrained, is demonstrated.
