Chiral recognition in separation sciences. Part I: Polysaccharide and cyclodextrin selectors

Trends in Analytical Chemistry (TrAC), 2019
The stereoselective recognition of chiral molecules is an important aspect in nature as the basis of the interaction of chiral bioactive compounds with their target structures. In separation sciences such as chromatographic and capillary electromigration

Diastereomeric Recognition of Chiral Foldamer Receptors for Chiral Glucoses

Organic Letters, 2007
[reaction: see text] Three chiral aromatic hydrazide foldamers have been designed and synthesized, in which two R- or S-proline units were incorporated at the terminals of their backbones. The 1H NMR, circular dichroism (CD), and fluorescent experiments and molecular dynamics simulations revealed that the foldamers adopted a chiral helical conformation

Chiral recognition through clays

Proceedings / Indian Academy of Sciences, 1990
Using optically active Ru(bpy)32+ and Ru(phen)32+ as probe chelates, the phenomenon of chiral recognition is demonstrated with clays. Similarities and differences in the binding states of the above chelates are also discussed. Finally, the effect of such binding state differences on clay aggregation patterns are reported.

Chiral recognition as directional recognition

Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, 1990
A logic of chiral recognition based on the differentiation of directions is more consistent and inclusive than one based on the differentiation of part structures.

Visual chiral recognition of D/L-leucine using cube-shaped gold nanoparticles as colorimetric probes.

Spectrochimica Acta Part A - Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2019
Chiral recognition of enantiomers is fundamentally important. In this work, an effective and simple chiral sensing strategy for discrimination of leucine (Leu) enantiomers was constructed. In this chiral sensing, cube-shaped gold nanoparticles (AuNCs) as

Chiral recognition in aggregates formed by chiral bola-amphiphiles

Tetrahedron: Asymmetry, 2010
Abstract The aggregates of three new isomeric chiral bola-amphiphiles have been taken into consideration as models for investigating chiral recognition in biological membranes. The recognition capabilities of the aggregates were explored following (by CD and HPLC experiments) the shift in the equilibrium between the inter-converting enantiomers of a ...

Chiral recognition ability of amylose derivatives bearing regioselectively different carbamate pendants at 2,3- and 6-positions.

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2019
Seven amylose derivatives bearing two regioselective carbamate pendants at 2,3- and 6-positions of a glucose unit were synthesized through protection and deprotection at the 6-position.

Chiral recognition in separation sciences. Part II: Macrocyclic glycopeptide, donor-acceptor, ion-exchange, ligand-exchange and micellar selectors

Trends in Analytical Chemistry (TrAC), 2019
The understanding of the molecular basis of the stereoselective formation of diastereomeric guest-host complexes for the rationalization of the enantioseparation process in chromatography and electromigration techniques has been a continuing interest in ...
