Enhanced Volume Optical Chirality in Electromagnetically Balanced Plasmonic Helices

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
Electromagnetically balanced plasmonic helices enable enhanced optical chirality within their interior volume in the mid‐infrared. Tuning the helix geometry controls the balance between electric and magnetic dipole responses, producing strong chiral near fields and enabling chirality sign reversal without changing structural handedness.

Topology‐Enriched Toughness Enhancement in Quasi‐Periodic Metastructures Featuring Tailorable Strong‐Weak Network

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 40, 17 July 2026.
A quasi‐periodic Dart‐Kite (QDK) metastructure with a golden‐ratio‐constrained strong–weak bond network simultaneously enhances strength, toughness, and damage tolerance. Its distributed topology enables predictable, tailorable crack paths for precise fracture control and stable mechanics, demonstrating a high‐performance, controllable architecture ...

Spatiotemporal Control of Formation of Dynamic Protein Fiber Assemblies via Photophysical Effects of a Focused Laser Beam

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 40, 17 July 2026.
Tightly focused laser irradiation can accumulate tubulin proteins at/around the laser focus, which leads to the formation of highly ordered microtubule assemblies. The assemblies can exhibit various dynamic behaviors such as radial motion, bundling, and flagella‐like rotation with motor protein and chemical energy, highlighting as a unique tool for ...

Long‐Range Interactions in Topological Superconducting Systems: A Mini Review

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 5, Issue 7, July 2026.
Long‐range interacting quantum systems are surveyed in this review, with an emphasis on the long‐range topological superconductor and its variants. Long‐range interactions decaying in a power‐law manner can lead to exotic phenomena that finds no analogue in short‐range regimes.
