Robust Chiral High‐Q Response Driven by Quasi‐Bound Flatband in the Continuum

This work theoretically proposes and numerically realizes chiral flatband quasi‐BICs by engineering four counterpropagating folded guided modes. The chiroptical response arises from destructive interference of two antiphase intrinsic modes, and the flatband originates from the interactions among opposite curvature hybrid guided modes.

Overcrowded Alkene Photo‐Redox‐Switches Based on Quinolinium/Carbene Building Blocks

A modular synthesis of a new class of photo‐ and redox‐switches is described based on the combination of quinolinium salts and carbenes. Exceptional Light Propagation via Generalized Bulk‐Edge Correspondence

We show that unlike in electronic systems, localized edge states in topological photonics are governed not only by nontrivial bulk topology, but also by polarization‐dependent light‐line confinement conditions inherent to Maxwell's equations.
