Centre vortices underpin dynamical chiral symmetry breaking in SU(3) gauge theory [PDF]
The dynamical breaking of chiral symmetry is one of the key phenomena in QCD. It plays a vital role in explaining the QCD spectrum. The dynamical mass generation associated with the breaking of chiral symmetry is responsible for almost all of the mass of

Simple Guanosine—Amino Acid Hybrids as Low Molecular Weight Hydrogelators
Unexplored guanosine‐amino acid derivatives act as low molecular weight hydrogelators. Gelation is triggered by K+ ions and pH changes and relies on G‐quadruplex formation. Small changes in the amino acid structure have a strong impact on the mechanical properties of the gels.

The Asymmetric Self‐Replicative Alkylation of N‐Arylaldimines Using Organolithium Reagents
Here, we report a new asymmetric autoinductive reaction; the addition of nBuLi to N‐arylaldimines to form chiral lithium amides. The reaction proceeds with full conversion and complete transfer of chirality, representing the first example of an asymmetric autoinductive reaction with organolithium reagents.

A Low‐Symmetry FeII Tetrahedron From a Flexible Tritopic Ligand
A highly symmetric and flexible tris‐bidentate tritopic ligand forms an S4 meso homoleptic face‐capped FeII tetrahedron near‐quantitatively in acetonitrile. The addition of nitromethane solvent causes partial isomerization of this meso cage to the racemic homochiral tetrahedron, with the complexity of the system being moderated through solvophobic ...

Stochasticity in chiral symmetry breaking
We explore stochastic behavior in chemical transformations far from equilibrium in this chapter. We build on the mathematical machinery developed so far to study the role of noise in these transformations.

Dynamic Control of Nucleic Acids Self‐Assembly and Expression Using Photoswitches
We review here the recent progress made in the design of molecular photoswitches, and highlight their implementation for the dynamic control over nucleic acids self‐assembly and expression. ABSTRACT Synthetic nucleic acids have become readily available and now constitute versatile building blocks in materials science—where they can be used to engineer ...
