Supramolecular Chirality in Achiral Polyfluorene: Chiral Gelation, Memory of Chirality, and Chiral Sensing Property

Macromolecules, 2016
Producing supramolecular chirality from achiral π-conjugated polymers toward preferred chiral memory, effective circularly polarized luminescence, and chiral sensor is extremely important in design of functional chiral materials. Proposed herein is an effective protocol to generate and memorize the supramolecular chirality formed from achiral poly(9,9 ...

Mechanical chirality: A chiral catalyst with a ring to it. [PDF]

open access: possibleNature chemistry, 2016
A chiral [2]rotaxane in which the asymmetry is derived from the way in which the two components are mechanically interlocked — rather than being encoded in the covalent connectivity of the components themselves — has been shown to act as an enantioselective organocatalyst.

On chirality measures and chirality properties

Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 2000
It is shown that chiral zeroes are integral to all pseudoscalar functions, and that these functions, and thus the chirality properties that are described by them, are therefore normally unsuitable as chirality measures. The multidimensional nature of chirality properties is explored.

Molecular Chirality

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 2004
Summary: The theory distinguishing the molecular chirality in the optical transition is presented. The characteristic combination responsible for this transition is the angular momentum of molecule and the magnetic field produced by photons. The amplitude is so small estimated \(v/c\) times that of the dipole transition. The specified model employed is

$γ$-Chiral is same as Chiral

2023
A word $w$ in a free group is called {\em chiral} if there exists a group $G$ such that image of word map corresponding to word $w$ is not closed with respect to inverse. Similarly a group $G$ is said to be {\em chiral} if there exists a word $w$ in free group such that $w$ exhibits chirality on the group $G$. Gordeev et al.

A chiral attraction

Trends in Biochemical Sciences, 2000
The gypsy moth Lymantria dispar is a persistent pest in Europe, Asia and North America, causing major deforestation as a result of outbreaks approximately every ten years. Each spring the mating period is a chemical frenzy, with stationary females attracting males up to a kilometer away with released sex pheromones.
