The prevalence of chlamydiosis (Chlamydophila psittaci) in Bosnia and Herzegovina
2005Blood samples were taken from 38 pigeons and 20 intensive breed chickens. Cloacal swabs were taken from 275 birds: 19 feral pigeons, 33 free living pigeons, 198 intensive breed chickens and 25 parrots. ELISA (IDEIATM PCE Chlamydia) and EIA (Clearwiew Chlamydia MF) tests were used for detection of Chlamydophila psittaci antigen in cloacal swabs.
