งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาการสกัดน้ำมันจากสาหร่าย Chlorella vulgaris ความเข้มข้นประมาณ 1x109 เซลล์/มิลลิลิตร โดยใช้อ่างอัลตราซาวด์ ความถี่ 40 กิโลเฮิรตซ์ ระดับพลังงาน 80, 100, 120 และ 150 วัตต์ พบว่า ที่ 150 วัตต์ นาน 40 นาที ทำให้เซลล์สาหร่ายแตกมากที่สุด และมีปริมาณน้ำมันมากที่สุดคือ 17.3 มิลลิกรัม/กรัมของเซลล์สาหร่ายแห้ง อย่างไรก็ตามเมื่อวัดปริมาณกรดไขมั
