Ionic Precursors Transformed Into Vinyl Acetate Synthesis Catalyst via Reaction‐Driven Restructuring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that a simple physical mixture of Pd and Au ionic precursors, KOAc promoter, and SiO2 support can transform into a highly active vinyl acetate synthesis catalyst through reaction‐driven restructuring. The results highlight reaction‐induced restructuring as an innovative and sustainable catalyst design strategy.

Chloride intracellular channel CLIC3 mediates fibroblast cellular senescence by interacting with ERK7

open access: yesCommunications Biology
Cellular senescence (CS) is recognized as a critical driver of aging and age-related disorders. Recent studies have emphasized the roles of ion channels as key mediators of CS.

From venom peptides to neurotherapeutics: BmK defensins and short-chain peptides as modulators of ion channels

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology
Scorpions, having inhabited the Earth long before the emergence of humans, represent an ancient lineage of arthropods. While often regarded with fear due to their potential to induce severe pain or fatal envenomation, scorpion venoms constitute complex ...

The Effect of BaCl2 on the Resting Membrane Potential of the Superior Flexor Muscle of Crayfish, Procambarus clarkii

open access: yesImpulse: The Premier Undergraduate Neuroscience Journal, 2022
Barium ions block potassium leak channels that contribute to the resting membrane potential in most animal cells (Armstrong and Taylor, 1980). Here we examine the impact of barium on the resting membrane potential of crayfish superficial flexor muscles ...

Semiconducting Polymers Post‐Functionalized With Ureido‐Pyrimidinone for Robust Stretchable Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The design of intrinsically robust stretchable semiconducting polymers was achieved through OTBS‐mediated post‐functionalization of PDPP2T side chains with UPy units, generating dual hydrogen‐bonding motifs comprising weaker urethane linkages and strong quadruple UPy interactions along the long alkyl side chain, which is crucial for achieving desirable

Phenomics of cardiac chloride channels: the systematic study of chloride channel function in the heart [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, 2009
Recent studies have identified several chloride (Cl−) channel genes in the heart, includingCFTR,ClC‐2,ClC‐3, CLCA,Bestrophin,andTMEM16A. Gene targeting and transgenic techniques have been used to delineate the functional role of cardiac Cl−channels in the context of health and disease.

Tissue‐Adhesive Fabric‐Based Bioelectronics for Wearable and Implantable Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An implantable and wearable bioelectronic textile (iTextile) is introduced as a unified platform bridging wearable and implantable systems. By integrating a self‐healing polymer, stretchable silk fabric, conductive composite electrodes, and an adhesive hydrogel, the platform enables conformal, stable interfacing with soft tissues. The iTextile supports
