Correlation Between Chloride Ions’ Migration and Diffusion Coefficients of Alkali-Activated Concrete
2023Alkali-Activated Materials (AAM) are considered an alternative to cementitious binders. Due to the reduction of Portland cement content and using industrial wastes to produce it, AAMs gained the researcher’s interest in the last decades. Current researches show that mechanical properties and ability to ensure proper conditions for reinforcing steel of ...

Abstract In this study, the chloride ion penetration of concrete made with drinking water and domestic wastewater of the anaerobic pond (non-potable water) were evaluated through the experimental tests and finite difference method. We considered three mix designs with water to cement ratios between 0.4 and 0.6 for each category.

Experimental Study on Chloride Ion Diffusion in Concrete Affected by Exposure Conditions
The transport mechanism of chloride ions in concrete is relatively complicated since the erosion process is influenced by many factors. To investigate the effect of exposure conditions on the chloride ion diffusion property, three exposure conditions ...

Abstract Most of the existing experimental and research methods for the diffusion of chloride ions in cement-based materials use an applied electric field test method with electrodes, which are unable to eliminate the effect of polarization. In this study, the relationship between resistivity and chloride ion diffusion coefficient (CIDC) is ...

Concrete powder collected in-situ from a 5-year-old concrete dock in four seasons respectively was tested by rapid chloride test (RCT). Based on Fick's second law, the surface chloride ion content and the chloride diffusion coefficient are derived by regression analysis, and the seasonal variation laws of the two parameters are discussed.
