Evaluation of the method of electrochemical extraction of chlorides ions for the rehabilitation of concrete structures with reinforcement corrosion problems

open access: yesMateriales de Construccion, 2003
The present work evaluates the method of electrochemical extraction of chloride ions for the rehabilitation of corroded concrete structures. The influence of the concrete cover and the water-to-cement ratio in the efficiency of the method was studied by ...

Catalytic Reductive Homocoupling of Benzyl Chlorides Enabled by Zirconocene and Photoredox Catalysis [PDF]

open access: yes
The bibenzyl skeleton is prevalent in numerous natural products and other biologically active compounds. Radical homocoupling provides a straightforward approach for synthesizing bibenzyls in a single step, with the reductive homocoupling of benzyl ...

Hydrosulfonylation Reaction with Arenesulfonyl Chlorides and Tetrahydrofuran: Conversion of Terminal Alkynes into Cyclopentylmethyl Sulfones [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
International audienceAn efficient and simple radical chain reaction to convert terminal alkynes into arenesulfonylmethylcyclopentanes is described. The reaction involves a radical addition-translocation-cyclization process and necessitates solely the ...

Pyrrolidinium chloride [PDF]

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E Structure Reports Online, 2009
The title compound, C(4)H(10)N(+)·Cl(-), was obtained as a decomposition product from 2,6-bis-(pyrrolidin-yl)pyridine. The anion lies on the same cristallographic mirror plane as the N atom of the cation, the complete cation being generated by mirror symmetry.

Passivation of duplex stainless steel in solutions simulating chloride-contaminated concrete

open access: yesMateriales de Construccion, 2007
Most studies published to date on the corrosion behaviour of stainless reinforcing steel are based on austenitic steel. The market presence of corrugated duplex steel is growing, however.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
