The effect of sonication on the ion exchange constant, KXBr of CTABr/chlorobenzoates micellar systems [PDF]
The ion exchange constant, KXBr (for the case of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, CTABr, in this study) is a method dependant characterization of ion exchange process by counterions, X and Br with different relative binding ratios. In this report, the ion

Iron-Catalyzed C(sp2)–C(sp3) Cross-Coupling of Aryl Chlorobenzoates with Alkyl Grignard Reagents [PDF]
Aryl benzoates are compounds of high importance in organic synthesis. Herein, we report the iron-catalyzed C(sp2)−C(sp3) Kumada cross-coupling of aryl chlorobenzoates with alkyl Grignard reagents.

The Integrative Conjugative Element clc (ICEclc) of Pseudomonas aeruginosa JB2 [PDF]
Integrative conjugative elements (ICE) are a diverse group of chromosomally integrated, self-transmissible mobile genetic elements (MGE) that are active in shaping the functions of bacteria and bacterial communities.

The chlorobenzoate dioxygenase genes of Burkholderia sp. strain NK8 involved in the catabolism of chlorobenzoates. [PDF]
Burkholderia sp. NK8 grows abundantly on 3-chlorobenzoate (3CB),4-chlorobenzoate (4CB) and benzoate. The genes encoding the oxidation of (chloro)benzoates (cbeABCD) and catechol (catA, catBC), the LysR-type regulatory gene cbeR and the gene cbeE with unknown function, all of which form a single cluster in NK8, were cloned and analysed.

Utilization of chlorobenzoates by microbial populations in sewage [PDF]
Microorganisms in sewage decomposed 3.4-dichlorobenzoate and m-, p-, and o-chlorobenzoates. As the substrate disappeared, populations capable of growing on these compounds proliferated. Neither 2,4-dichlorobenzoate nor 2,3,6-trichlorobenzoate was destroyed by the sewage microflora.

Evaluation of 3-Chlorobenzoate 1,2-Dioxygenase Inhibition by 2- and 4-Chlorobenzoate with a Cell-Based Technique. [PDF]
The electrochemical reactor microbial sensor with the Clark oxygen electrode as the transducer was used for investigation of the competition between 3-chlorobenzoate (3-CBA) and its analogues, 2- and 4-chlorobenzoate (2-CBA and 4-CBA), for 3-chlorobenzoate-1,2-dioxygenase (3-CBDO) of Rhodococcus opacus 1CP cells.

Sphingobium fuliginis HC3: a novel and robust isolated biphenyl- and polychlorinated biphenyls-degrading bacterium without dead-end intermediates accumulation. [PDF]
Biphenyl and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are typical environmental pollutants. However, these pollutants are hard to be totally mineralized by environmental microorganisms.

Magnetic properties of pyridine copper (II) chlorobenzoates
Magnetic susceptibility studies have been made on the bispyridine adducts of copper(II)m-chloro-benzoate and copper(II) p-chlorobenzoate and on samples of composition Cu(ClC6H4CO2)2(C5H5N)x, where 2 > x ≥ 0. Results show that whereas the bispyridine adducts are essentially magnetically dilute the monopyridine and hemipyridine adducts of these ...
