Confirming the existence of π-allyl-palladium intermediates during the reaction of meta photocycloadducts with palladium(ii) compounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The transient existence of π-allyl-palladium intermediates formed by the reaction of Pd(OAc)2 and anisole-derived meta photocycloadducts has been demonstrated using NMR techniques.

Spectroscopic Study of the Interaction Between TCNQ and Cryptand 222 in Chloroform Solution [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2005
The interaction between 4, 7, 13, 16, 21, 24 - hexaoxa-1,10 - diazabicyclo [8.8.8] hexacosane (C222) and 7,7,8,8- teracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) has been studied in chloroform at 25°C. The results indicate a two step mechanism.

Graphene oxide and adsorption of chloroform: a density functional study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Chlorinated hydrocarbon compounds are of environmental concerns, since they are toxic to humans and other mammals, are widespread, and exposure is hard to avoid. Understanding and improving methods to reduce the amount of the substances is important. We present an atomic-scale calculational study of the adsorption of chlorine-based substance chloroform

The role of intermolecular coupling in the photophysics of disordered organic semiconductors: Aggregate emission in regioregular polythiophene [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. Lett. 98, 206406 (2007), 2007
We address the role of excitonic coulping on the nature of photoexcitations in the conjugated polymer regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene). By means of temperature-dependent absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopy, we show that optical emission is overwhelmingly dominated by weakly coupled H-aggregates.
