Adaptive Genomic Divergence Across Altitudes in Capsella bursa‐pastoris
Genomic divergence was observed between high‐altitude and low‐altitude populations of Capsella bursa‐pastoris in China, consistent with an important role of ecological factors. Candidate adaptive loci associated with enhanced energy metabolism, photoprotection, and growth plasticity under altitudinal stress were identified.

Boknis Eck Time Series Station (SW Baltic Sea): Measurements from 1957 to 2010 [PDF]
Salinity, temperature, and O2 have been recorded on a monthly basis at the Boknis Eck Time Series Station (BE; Eckernförde Bay, SW Baltic Sea) since April 1957 with only two major breaks (1976-78 and 1983-1985). Chlorophyll a measurements started in 1960

The influence of rivers on seabird foraging ecology
ABSTRACT Rivers act as vital arteries to the world's oceans, delivering fresh water and nutrients that sustain marine ecosystems. Globally, river flow increasingly is being altered by climate change and anthropogenic pressures; yet the significance of rivers to predatory marine species, such as seabirds, and the extent to which river‐related changes ...

Characteristics of the tomato chromoplast revealed by proteomic analysis [PDF]
Chromoplasts are non-photosynthetic specialized plastids that are important in ripening tomato fruit (Solanum lycopersicum) since, among other functions, they are the site of accumulation of coloured compounds.
