Nitric Oxide(II) in the Biology of Chlorophyta
Molecular Biology, 2023NO is a gaseous signaling redox-active molecule that functions in various eukaryotes. However, its synthesis, turnover, and effects in cells are specific in plants in several aspects. Compared with higher plants, the role of NO in Chlorophyta has not been investigated enough.

The demise of the genus Scotiellopsis Vinatzer (Chlorophyta)
Nova Hedwigia, 2013The genus Scotiellopsis was established in 1975 by Vinatzer for a newly described species Scotiellopsis rubescens, but after revision by Puncochařova & Kalina in 1981 it included five species. The genus comprises coccoid green algae typically with apical thickenings and meridional ribs.

Arsenolipids in the green alga Coccomyxa (Trebouxiophyceae, Chlorophyta)
Phytochemistry, 2019Lipid-like compounds containing a dimethylarsinoyl group, i.e. Me2As(O)-, have been identified by liquid chromatography/inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LC/ICP-MS) and non-aqueous reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (positive and/or negative high-resolution tandem electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (NARP-HPLC/HR ...

Carotenoid Biosynthesis in Dunaliella (Chlorophyta)
2019Carotenoids are mostly 40-carbon isoprenoids that are integral and essential components of photosynthetic pigment-protein complexes, but also membranes. In response to environmental stress, some species of Dunaliella accumulate high amounts of specific carotenoids, such as β-carotene and zeaxanthin.

Effects of copper on some filamentous chlorophyta
Aquatic Botany, 1980Abstract Algal species of the genera Spirogyra, Oedogenium, Microspora, Mougeotia, Ulothrix and Draparnaldia from Dutch ditches were cultured at various copper concentrations. Mougeotia, Microspora and Hormidium tolerated higher copper concentrations (up to 0.1 m M Cu) than the other species and accumulated less of it.

Additions to the genus Chlorodesmis (Chlorophyta)
Phycologia, 1969Abstract This paper deals with the identity and nomenclature of two species of Chlorodesmis. It is the result of work done in various herbaria during 1967. The help of the Keepers of these herbaria is gratefully acknowledged.
