Novel CHM mutations identified in Chinese families with Choroideremia
AbstractChoroideremia is a bilateral and progressive X-linked inherited disease characterized by widespread chorioretinal atrophy with relative sparing of the macular region. It is caused by mutations in the ubiquitously expressed CHM gene, which lead to the absence of the Rab escort protein 1 (REP-1), resulting in prenylation deficiency.

Error in ERA5 2‐m temperature identified using GraphCast
We identify a recurrent error in ERA5 2‐m temperature over the Ethiopian Highlands that occurs predominantly at 0600 UTC on ≈7%$$ \approx 7\% $$ of dates. The artefact is caused by the 2D optimal‐interpolation scheme assimilating temporally displaced surface reports (e.g., 0900 UTC) into the 0600 UTC analysis.
