AERO: Adaptive Erase Operation for Improving Lifetime and Performance of Modern NAND Flash-Based SSDs [PDF]
This work investigates a new erase scheme in NAND flash memory to improve the lifetime and performance of modern solid-state drives (SSDs). In NAND flash memory, an erase operation applies a high voltage (e.g., > 20 V) to flash cells for a long time (e.g., > 3.5 ms), which degrades cell endurance and potentially delays user I/O requests.

Classification and Characterization Methods for Heterojunctions
Currently, there is no unified standard for the classification and nomenclature of heterojunctions. To address this issue, this article systematically summarizes and standardizes the classification and naming rules for heterojunctions. Furthermore, it provides a clear elucidation of the differences in photogenerated carrier behavior among O–scheme, Z ...

A porous crystalline sensing layer has been developed in conjunction with a nanomechanical sensor for the sensitive detection of volatile fatty acids (VFAs) in admixture at high relative humidity. The sensitive, selective sensor based on supramolecular design improves the economic viability of anaerobic digesters toward a carbon neutral society ...

Polymer Dots Exhibiting Multi‐Resonant Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence for Cellular Imaging
By copolymerizing with a host material, a multiple resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescent (MR‐TADF) emitter quinolino[3,2,1‐de]acridine‐5,9‐dione (QAO) is successfully assembled into water‐dispersible polymer dots (Pdots). Photophysical measurements and multichannel fluorescence imaging studies show that the narrowband emission from the MR ...
