A Fourteen Years Old Boy with Cholesterol Ester Storage Disease
Cholesterol ester storage disease (CESD) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder resulting from lysosomal acid lipase deficiency and is usually characterized by hepatomegaly and hyperlipidemia. It is diagnosed by liver biopsy which characteristically shows microvesicular steatosis and periportal fibrosis.

Salvianolic acid A (SAA) selectively induces senescent vascular smooth muscle cell apoptosis, alleviating atherosclerosis. Mechanistically, SAA targets heat shock protein 90 alpha (HSP90α) to disrupt the protein inase B (AKT)‐PRKR‐Like Endoplasmic Reticulum Kinase (PERK) scaffold, driving ubiquitin‐proteasome‐dependent AKT degradation.

[Pathohistologic diagnosis of cholesterol ester storage disease].
Cholesteryl ester storage disease (CESD) is rare and characterised by accumulation of cholesteryl esters and triglycerides in many tissues due to the deficiency of lysosomal acid lipase. We report on a 2 1/2-year old child with CESD. The diagnosis was made by liver biopsy and finding of heat-sensitive birefrigent crystals seen in frozen liver tissue ...

We report a cellular membrane‐targeted europium(III) probe, Eu.Chol, that enables selective, time‐resolved detection of peroxynitrite (ONOO−) at the cell membrane interface. Eu.Chol demonstrates efficient incorporation into liposomes and Jurkat cells, with minimal response to H2O2, establishing a modular platform for subcellular ONOO− sensing ...

Dietary fiber (soluble/insoluble) was recovered from pumpkin seed hulls using hydrothermal extraction. Process parameters were optimized, and a comprehensive profiling of recovered fiber fractions was performed. ABSTRACT Insoluble (IDF) and soluble dietary fiber (SDF) were recovered from pumpkin seed hulls (PSHs) using hydrothermal treatment ...

Abstract Edible oils are essential dietary constituents that contribute as energy source, fatty acids and medium for fat‐soluble vitamins. High temperature during frying induces changes in the fatty acid profile of edible oils. The primary aim of this study is to investigate the influence of high temperature (230 ± 5°C) and duration of heating (0, 1, 2
