Early work by Rehnborg and Nichols (1) showed that upon incubation of normolipemic plasma, cholesteryl ester (CE) concentration increased in VLDL, LDL and HDL whereas triglycerides (TG) concentration decreased in VLDL and increased in LDL and HDL. These experiments (1,2) were the first to document CE transfer between lipoproteins but the concept was ...

[Detection of cholesterol ester transfer protein in semen of infertile patients].
Zhonghua nan ke xue = National journal of andrology, 2003To detect the cholesterol ester transfer protein (CETP) levels in semen of infertile patients and evaluate the correlation between CETP in semial plasma and infertility. One hundred and sixty-three infertile patients and fifteen fertile males were selected randomly.

Effects of Cholesterol Ester Transfer Protein Inhibition on HDL Metabolism
2010Cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) facilitates the transfer of cholesteryl ester from high lipoproteins (HDLs) to triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRLs) in exchange for triglyceride. CETP forms a channel or tube between HDL and TRL allowing for this exchange.
