Advancing design strategies in smart stimulus‐responsive liposomes for drug release and nanomedicine
Schematic illustration of stimulus‐responsive liposomes designed for controlled drug release and nanomedicine. The innermost circle represents different liposomal structures, including unilamellar, multilamellar, and multivesicular liposomes. The middle layer illustrates the responsive phospholipid components.

Apolipoprotein A-I (ApoA-I) Mimetic Peptide P2a by Restoring CholesterolEsterification Unmasks ApoA-I Anti-Inflammatory Endogenous Activity In Vivo. CO-FIRST AUTHOR [PDF]
The acute-phase protein haptoglobin (Hpt) binds apolipoprotein A-I (ApoA-I) and impairs its action on lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase, an enzyme that plays a key role in reverse cholesterol transport.

Tomato variety and processing impact lycopene bioaccessibility. Tomato emulsions with high pectin content decreased the in vitro lipid digestion and negatively affected lycopene bioaccessibility. High pressure homogenization may enhance the release of lycopene into emulsion oil droplets, but it may also reduce the transfer of lycopene into the micellar

Accumulation and aberrant composition of cholesteryl esters in Scrapie-infected N2a cells and C57BL/6 mouse brains [PDF]
Objective: Cholesterol changes have been described in prion-cell models and in experimental rodent scrapie; yet,the pattern of this association is still controversial.

ABSTRACT Over the past three decades, the global burden of common metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and atherosclerosis has steadily increased, becoming a serious public health issue that poses a major threat to human health worldwide. Potassium channels, particularly the voltage‐gated Kv1.3 subtype, serve as critical regulators of cellular

The plasma cholesterol esterification reaction
