Going Beyond Surface Physics: Interface Engineering of PTAA for Efficient p‐i‐n Perovskite Photovoltaics

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
The ionic liquid BMIMAc is introduced at the PTAA/perovskite interface in inverted solar cells to address interfacial defects and poor contact. BMIMAc enhances PTAA wettability, enabling high‐quality perovskite film formation while reducing buried interface trap density.

Zincophilic, Green, Non‐Toxic Additives Modulate Lean‐Water Inner Helmholtz Layer for Enhanced Stability of Zinc Anodes

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Green, non‐toxic DMM selectively adsorbs on the zinc surface, restructuring the inner Helmholtz layer and forming a water‐lean interface that inhibits direct water‐zinc contact. Typically, advanced quartz crystal microbalance precisely quantifies this adsorption.

Gut microbiota‐related modulation of immune mechanisms in post‐infarction remodelling and heart failure

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 942-954, April 2025.
Abstract The immune system has long been recognized as a key driver in the progression of heart failure (HF). However, clinical trials targeting immune effectors have consistently failed to improve patient outcome across different HF aetiologies. The activation of the immune system in HF is complex, involving a broad network of pro‐inflammatory and ...

Metabolic abnormalities and reprogramming in cats with naturally occurring hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1256-1270, April 2025.
Abstract Background and aims The heart is a metabolic organ rich in mitochondria. The failing heart reprograms to utilize different energy substrates, which increase its oxygen consumption. These adaptive changes contribute to increased oxidative stress.

Vanillin production from lignin depolymerization by acidic deep eutectic solvent and its possible mechanism

open access: yesEnvironmental Progress &Sustainable Energy, EarlyView.
Abstract As one of the most abundant renewable resources and complex aromatic polymers, lignin holds great promise for producing monophenolic compounds. However, its depolymerization into valuable monomers is hindered by intricate side reactions. In this study, alkaline lignin was converted into vanillin using nine choline chloride‐based deep eutectic ...
