The clinical and histopathologic findings in a hemorrhagic lesion involving the right macula of a 77-year-old man are presented. Clinical and fluorescein angiographic evaluation of the lesion led to a diagnosis of subretinal neovascular membrane secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

In February, 2010, a 43-year-old woman presented to our clinic complaining of visual fl oaters in her left eye for the previous 2 months. She had a history of systemic hypertension, but was currently not on medication. Our patient was otherwise healthy. On examination, her visual acuity was 20/20 in each eye.

We report an unusual case of cavitary choroidal melanoma. The results of ultrasonography, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and immunohistochemical studies are presented for a 38-year-old woman who developed an amelanotic tumor in the posterior choroid. B-scan ultrasonography disclosed intratumoral cavitations.

We studied the metastatic pattern of 41 patients initially referred with a primary choroidal melanoma who later developed widespread disease. In the order of frequency, the most common sites of metastatic involvement were the liver (56%), subcutaneous tissue (36.5%), and bone (7%).
