Choroidal Neovascularization Associated With Choroidal Nevi
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1993We undertook a retrospective study of all choroidal nevi with overlying neovascularization seen at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, Fla, to determine long-term effects on vision and whether the presence of neovascularization represented increased malignant potential of the lesion.A computer search of patients with a coded diagnosis of both a ...

Choroidal Neovascularization Associated With Choroidal Hemangiomas
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1992Two patients with choroidal hemangiomas developed choroidal neovascularization. One patient with Sturge-Weber syndrome, a unilateral diffuse choroidal hemangioma, and a serous detachment of the macula was treated with yellow dye laser photocoagulation in a grid pattern to the tumor before glaucoma filtration surgery.

SOLITARY IDIOPATHIC CHOROIDITIS WITH CHOROIDAL NEOVASCULARIZATION
RETINAL Cases & Brief Reports, 2009To report a case of solitary idiopathic choroiditis associated with choroidal neovascularization.Case report of a 36-year-old healthy man who was referred for floaters in the left eye of 3 weeks' duration.Fundus examination of the left eye revealed a yellow-white subretinal lesion superior to the fovea.

Retinal and choroidal neovascularization
Journal of Cellular Physiology, 2000The unique vascular supply of the retina, the ability to visualize the vasculature in vivo, and the ability to selectively express genes in the retina make the retina an ideal model system to study molecular mechanisms of angiogenesis. In addition, this area of investigation has great clinical significance, because retinal and choroidal ...

Iatrogenic Choroidal Neovascularization
Survey of Ophthalmology, 1999Iatrogenic choroidal neovascularization is an uncommon complication of laser photocoagulation and other ocular surgical procedures. It appears to be the result of a number of conditions, including damaged Bruch's membrane and/or retinal pigment epithelium, whose reparative processes trigger the release of angiogenic factors.

Perspectives of Choroidal Neovascularization Therapy
Current Drug Targets, 2011Vision loss secondary to Choroidal Neovascularization (CNV) is becoming a major disease condition in developed world. CNV is typically secondary to Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and these conditions are major, and also substantially increasing, causes of blindness among aged people.

Automatic Segmentation of Retinal Layer in OCT Images With Choroidal Neovascularization
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2018Age-related macular degeneration is one of the main causes of blindness. However, the internal structures of retinas are complex and difficult to be recognized due to the occurrence of neovascularization. Traditional surface detection methods may fail in

THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHOROIDAL NEOVASCULARIZATION IN PREGNANCY
Retina, 1999To evaluate the possible association between the development of choroidal neovascularization (CNV) and pregnancy.A retrospective review was performed of the clinical records of three patients who were pregnant at the time a choroidal neovascular membrane (CNVM) was diagnosed. The clinical presentations and treatment of the CNVM occurring in association

Radiotherapy for Choroidal Neovascularization
2020Currently, the management of patients with neovascular AMD continues to be a great challenge. Although the advent of anti-VEGF therapy has marked a substantial improvement in the prognosis of the disease, the number of injections and multiple medical visits remains a marked economic and social burden.
