Development of Poliosis in Patients Treated With Immunotherapy for Metastatic Cutaneous and Non‐Cutaneous Melanoma

open access: yesPigment Cell &Melanoma Research, Volume 39, Issue 3, May 2026.
Ten metastatic melanoma patients were treated with cancer immunotherapies which led to poliosis during the course of treatment; of note all 10 patients experienced a response to therapy, regardless of the class of immunotherapy, including immune checkpoints, tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, or bispecific T‐cell engagers.

Peripheral retinal findings in a pediatric primary care optometry clinic and their associations with myopia: A 3‐year retrospective review

open access: yesOptometry and Vision Science, Volume 103, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose This study aims to detail the frequency of peripheral retinal findings seen in pediatric patients in a primary care optometry clinic, and evaluate the relative frequency of abnormal and pathological peripheral retinal findings based on myopia magnitude.

Metastatic potential of small posterior uveal melanomas

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, Volume 104, Issue 2, Page e191-e203, March 2026.
Abstract Purpose To investigate the prevalence of aggressive traits in small posterior uveal melanomas (UM). Methods This retrospective, multicentre cohort study included 804 patients with small posterior UM (≤9 mm in largest basal diameter, ≤3 mm in thickness) from centres in the UK, Germany, and Sweden.

Orbital melanocytoma: When a tumor becomes a relieving surprise

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Ophthalmology Case Reports, 2018
Purpose: Melanocytomas are rare pigmented tumors that arise form melanocytes and have been reported in the central nervous system. Orbital melanocytomas “also known as blue nevus” are rarely reported.

Nanobiotechnology‐Based Approaches for Uveal Melanoma Treatment

open access: yesSmartMat, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
Emerging platforms for uveal melanoma combine precision drug delivery, ROS‐amplifying modalities, and nucleic acid transport to overcome ocular barriers and immunosuppressive niches. Targeted nanoparticles, virus‐like constructs, and injectable depots enable localized activation, controlled release, and gene‐level reprogramming.

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography of Two Choroidal Nevi Variants

open access: yesCase Reports in Ophthalmological Medicine, 2017
Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) is a recently established noninvasive technology for evaluation of the retinal and choroidal vasculature. The literature regarding the findings in choroidal nevi is scarce.

Fundus Angiography for Diagnosis of Choroidal Tumors.

open access: yesJournal of Health Science and Medical Research (JHSMR), 2010
Information from both ophthalmoscopic examination and investigation are crucial in giving a diagnosis of choroidal tumors. Fundus angiography is a novel investigative tool that yields parti- cular characteristics  in different kinds of tumors, especially
