Differences of Longitudinal Chromatic Aberration (LCA) between Eyes with Intraocular Lenses from Different Manufacturers

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Several researchers have studied the longitudinal chromatic aberration (LCA) of eyes implanted with an intraocular lens (IOL). We investigated the LCA of eyes implanted with yellow-colored IOLs from three different manufacturers: Alcon Inc., HOYA Corp ...

Atomic Interlayer Mo–N4 Sites Enable Rapid Charge Transfer and Efficient CO2 Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work achieved efficient CO2 activation and ultrafast interlayer electron transport in a 2D COF by constructing atomic‐level Mo‐N4‐induced interlayer electron bridges (IEB), thereby kinetically and thermodynamically co‐driving the photocatalytic coupling of CO2 reduction with 4‐methoxybenzyl alcohol oxidation.

Self-coherent camera as a focal plane wavefront sensor: simulations

open access: yes, 2009
Direct detection of exoplanets requires high dynamic range imaging. Coronagraphs could be the solution, but their performance in space is limited by wavefront errors (manufacturing errors on optics, temperature variations, etc.), which create quasi ...

Polychromatic Image Performance of Diffractive Bifocal Intraocular Lenses: Longitudinal Chromatic Aberration and Energy Efficiency.

open access: yesInvestigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science, 2016
PURPOSE The study evaluated-theoretically and experimentally-the longitudinal chromatic aberration (LCA) and through-focus energy efficiency (TF-EE) of diffractive-refractive bifocal intraocular lenses (2f-IOLs).

Faster and Durable: A Cell‐to‐System Validation of a Low‐Degradation Fast‐Charge Protocol for Li‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐based framework resolving graphite phase‐separation dynamics establishes a predictive, degradation‐aware fast‐charging methodology for commercial Li‐ion batteries. The resulting model‐informed protocol achieves 20%–80% state‐of‐charge in 14 min while matching the long‐term degradation of a commercial 25‐minute EV strategy.

Real‐Time Multicolor Fluorescence Microscopy via Cross‐Channel Acquisition and Deep‐Learning‐Based Inference

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Sequential multicolor fluorescence imaging in dynamic microsystems is constrained by acquisition speed and excitation dose. This study introduces a real‐time framework to reconstruct spectrally separated channels from reduced cross‐channel acquisitions (frames containing mixed spectral contributions).
