Software and internet resources for capillary electrophoresis and micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 2001
The purpose of the contribution is to show how software and the internet have changed the way in which we carry out research, and what additional possibilities these new resources and tools provide. The internet and e-mail broaden our horizon for cooperation.

Micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography analysis of the behavior of bilirubin in micellar solutions

Journal of Chromatography A, 1993
The capacity factor of bilirubin is determined by micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC) techniques in three different surfactant systems. The capacity factor of bilirubin in cholic acid, taurocholic acid, and taurochenodeoxycholic acid solutions are compared to each other as a function of pH.

Linear solvation energy relationships in micellar liquid chromatography and micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 1995
Linear solvation energy relationships (LSERs) were used to evaluate and characterize chemical interactions that influence retention behavior in micellar liquid chromatography (MLC) and micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MEKC). High correlations were found between solutes' capacity factors in MLC and in MEKC, as well as binding constants ...

Chiral surfactants in micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography

ELECTROPHORESIS, 1997
AbstractMost biologically active molecules contain one or more chiral centres, giving rise to stereoisomeric forms which can behave differently in a chiral environment. Thus, only one of the enantiomers may show the desired physiological activity, whereas the other enantiomers may either be considerably less active or even show undesireable side ...

Herbicide analysis by micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 1996
Capillary electrophoresis with ultraviolet detection (CE-UV) and laser-induced fluorescence detection (CE-LIF) was used for analysis of a group of herbicides that have widespread use in the USA. CE-UV was employed for simultaneous determination of atrazine, simazine, alachlor and metolachlor in water.

Column efficiency in micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography

Analytical Chemistry, 1987
Experimental factors that influence column efficiency in micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography were studied. Parameters, such as applied voltage, column dimensions, and concentrations of buffer and surfactant in the mobile phase, are found to influence efficiency. Van Deemter-like plots of plate vs.

Evaluation of micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography

Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering, 1989
Micellar Electrokinetic Capillary Chromatography employs electroosmotically pumped micellar mobile phases to achieve very efficient separations, A mixture of 14 modified nucleic acid components can be separated with 0.0081 and 0.075 M sodium dodecyl sulfate in phosphate/borate buffer, 10 kv of separation voltage, and a 68.5 cm x 0.06 mm I.D.

Instrumental developments in micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 1989
Abstract Two instrumental developments in micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography are reported. A solvent delivery system capable of generating continuous linear-, concave-, and convex-shaped solvent gradients is shown to have a dramatic effect on the chromatographic profiles obtained in the separation of a mixture of fluorescently-labeled ...

Separation of coumarins by micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 1995
Nine coumarins were successfully separated simultaneously using micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography with 4-hydroxybenzoic acid as an internal standard. A carrier composed of buffer solution (20 mM sodium dodecyl sulfate-15 mM sodium borate-15 mM sodium dihydrogenphosphate)-acetonitrile (24:1) was found to be the most suitable electrolyte ...

Micellar Electrokinetic Capillary Chromatography with Cationic Surfactants

Journal of Liquid Chromatography, 1993
Abstract A series of alkyltrimethylammonium chloride and bromide surfactants were evaluated in micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC) of urea herbicides, alkylbenzenes and phenylalkylalcohols. The magnitude of the anodal electroosmotic flow obtained with these cationic micellar phases was largely unaffected by the length of the alkyl ...
