Genesis of podiform chromitites – a review of models
Relevance of the work. Research aimed at identification of genesis of chromium ores in alpine-type hyperbasites has been conducted by scientists (geologists, petrologists and geochemists) around the world for more than a century. Nevertheless, the issue of their origin remains debatable to this day.

Low Temperature Sabatier CO2 Methanation
This review exhaustively summarizes the advances made since the beginning of the century in the field of the Sabatier reaction conducted at temperatures less than or equal to 200 °C. Thermal catalysis as well as plasma‐assisted and photo‐assisted catalysis are described there.

The genesis and tectonic significance of chromitite-bearing serpentinites in southern NSW [PDF]
University of Technology, Sydney. Faculty of Science. The Tumut Serpentinite Province consists of four major serpentinite belts and numerous small serpentinite bodies, that occupy a long narrow tract within the Lachlan Fold Belt of southern NSW.

Tibetan chromitites: Excavating the slab graveyard
Podiform chromitites enclosed in depleted harzburgites of the Luobusa massif (southeastern Tibet) contain diamond and a highly reduced trace-mineral association. Exsolution of diopside and coesite from chromite suggests inversion from the Ca-ferrite structure in the upper part of the mantle transition zone (>400 km).

RocMLMs: Predicting Rock Properties Through Machine Learning Models
Abstract Mineral phase transformations significantly alter the bulk density and elastic properties of mantle rocks and consequently have profound effects on mantle dynamics and seismic wave propagation. These changes in the physical properties of mantle rocks result from evolution in the equilibrium mineralogical composition, which can be predicted by ...

Chromitites of the Akkarginskiy massif (the Southern Urals)
We consider the geological features of ultramafic rock and chrome ore deposits. It is shown that all studied deposits are podiform in morphology that is typical for the ophiolite ultramafic rocks. Morphological and chemical features of the accessory and oreforming spinels are described.

Abstract Understanding near‐surface groundwater storage, flow patterns, surface and groundwater interactions in mining areas can assist in making mining more efficient and profitable. This is especially important in opencast mines affected by water inflows that may negatively affect production and increase mining costs. We map and characterize the near‐
