Nuclear matrix organization of chromocenters in cultured murine fibroblasts

After 2 M NaCl extraction without DNase I treatment, chromocenters became extremely swollen and could not be recognized with conventional electron microscopy.

After 2 M NaCl extraction without DNase I treatment, chromocenters were extremely swelled, and it was impossible to detect them using conventional electron microscopy.

Acta histochemica. Supplementband, 1983On Feulgen-stained slides of adult rats' liver we determined the biggest and the smallest diameters each of 200 nuclei of hepatocytes. By using the table of Marzotko we got the real volume of the nuclei. Besides the volume we found the number of chromocentres in the nuclei.
