Lactylation of UDP‐glucose dehydrogenase (UGDH) represses its enzymatic activity and causes glycosaminoglycans loss. In addition, UGDH lactylation facilitates its interaction with chromosome region maintenance 1 (CRM1) and promotes the nucleocytoplasmic transport.

In KLF1‐on (neonatal and Klf1 overexpression hearts) models, KLF1 regulates Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway and the expression of cell proliferation‐related genes via transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms, which induces cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac regeneration in mice after myocardial infarction.

A Model of Epigenetic Inheritance Accounts for Unexpected Adaptation to Unforeseen Challenges
A general model of inheriting changes that are acquired during the lifetime of individuals demonstrates tremendous benefits to the population, including escape from extinction in changing environments. Contrasting the model with experimental data shows that inheritance of acquired changes enables rapid adaptation to unforeseen challenges, and accounts ...

Comparison of Geant4-DNA and RITRACKS/RITCARD: microdosimetry, nanodosimetry and DNA break predictions [PDF]
This work aims at investigating the impact of DNA geometry, compaction and calculation chain on DNA break and chromosome aberration predictions for high charge and energy (HZE) ions, using the Monte Carlo codes Geant4-DNA, RITRACKS and RITCARD. To ensure consistency of ion transport of both codes, we first compared microdosimetry and nanodosimetry ...

Sperm‐derived circRNA‐1572 competitively binds to bta‐miR‐2478‐L‐2 through a “sponge” mechanism to regulate cyclin B2 (CCNB2) expression, thereby modulating the distribution of fibrous actin (F‐actin) in early pig embryos, ensuring proper chromosome segregation during mitosis, and facilitating normal embryo cleavage and zygotic genome activation.

Assessment and Mitigation of CRISPR‐Cas9‐Induced Nontargeted Translocations
Various inverted repeat elements are dispersed throughout genomes. This study reveals that these elements can cause significant chromosomal rearrangements when CRISPR editing occurs in their proximity. The risk can be mitigated by incorporating inverted repeat‐homologous segments into the CRISPR system, which represents a promising strategy for ...
