Refractory Migraine and Chronic Migraine: Pathophysiological Mechanisms [PDF]
Migraine is a complex disorder of the brain whose mechanisms are only now being unravelled. It is common, disabling, and economically costly. Brain imaging has suggested a role for the brainstem. While the disorder is almost certainly inherited, the degree to which this contributes to a treatment refractory state is not clear.

Lactylation‐Driven YTHDC1 Alleviates MASLD by Suppressing PTPN22‐Mediated Dephosphorylation of NLRP3
In MASLD, YTHDC1 undergoes increased lactylation and ubiquitination, reducing its expression. AARS1 mediates lactylation at lysine 565, while disrupted binding to LDHA further promotes lactylation, suppressing YTHDC1. This downregulation enhances PTPN22 mRNA stability, leading to NLRP3 dephosphorylation and activation, which exacerbates inflammation ...

Self-medication with over-the-counter analgesics : a survey of patient characteristics and concerns about pain medication [PDF]
Pain is a common reason for self-medication with over-the-counter (OTC) analgesics. However, this self-treating population has remained largely uncharacterized.

Stromal Cell‐Mast Cell Communication Orchestrates Anti‐Viral Immunity in the Meninges
This study delineates the spatial distribution and postnatal maturation of meningeal mast cells and uncovers their essential role in antiviral immunity. Using genetic models, mast cells are shown to promote CD8⁺ T cell infiltration and viral clearance via IL‐33 receptor signaling and synergistic activation by IL‐33 and ATP from infected stromal cells ...
