Advances in Nano‐Immunomodulatory Systems for the Treatment of Acute Kidney Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on the biodegradability and the immunological reactiveness, IMNs can be broadly classified into four categories. The first category includes types of biologically derived materials that cause immunomodulatory action and biodegradability like nanoparticles of cell membranes, extracellular vesicles, and exosomes.

Large‐Scale Plasma Proteomics to Profile Pathways and Prognosis of Chronic Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study delineates both common and site‐specific proteins linked to various chronic pain conditions, elucidating their implications across molecular pathways and health status. These findings, particularly those proteins with genetic causal links to pain or predictive capabilities, have the potential to significantly benefit both research and ...

Dynamic Prediction of Competing Risk Events using Landmark Sub-distribution Hazard Model with Multiple Longitudinal Biomarker [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The cause-specific cumulative incidence function (CIF) quantifies the subject-specific disease risk with competing risk outcome. With longitudinally collected biomarker data, it is of interest to dynamically update the predicted CIF by incorporating the most recent biomarker as well as the cumulating longitudinal history.

HNF3α Targets Nckap1l and Promotes Renal Fibrosis Following Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 3 alpha (HNF3α) is significantly upregulated in renal tubular epithelial cells of CKD patients and fibrotic mice. Deletion of HNF3α mitigates IRI‐induced renal fibrosis, while overexpression worsens it. HNF3α directly regulates NCK‐associated protein 1‐like (Nckap1l), whose overexpression exacerbates fibrosis.

Clinical outcomes of single incision laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer: A propensity score‐matched analysis between well‐experienced and novice surgeons

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, Volume 7, Issue 1, Page 102-109, January 2023., 2023
SILS is a technically challenging procedure for novice surgeons. We evaluate the clinical outcomes of SILS for colorectal cancer performed by novice surgeons. SILS was safely performed by novice surgeons under the guidance of well‐experienced surgeons, and could provide satisfactory oncological outcomes. Abstract Background Single incision laparoscopic
