Integrative Zoology, EarlyView.Male weaponry evolution is often linked to male–male competition, but its relationship with breeding site type remains unclear. Using Leptodactylinae frogs, we found a macroevolutionary correlation between breeding site type and weapon evolution. Also, gains and losses of weapons occurred more frequently in exposed‐breeding sites, an unexpected finding.

Urbanization and Vector Species Shape Avian Malaria Prevalence in Mosquitoes
Integrative Zoology, EarlyView.Avian malaria prevalence was assessed in two mosquito species across urban and peri‐urban habitats. No infections were detected in either species in urban areas, while a 2.53% prevalence was found in the native Culex pipiens from peri‐urban sites, highlighting the influence of urbanization on parasite transmission dynamics.

Stable Isotope Analysis as a Tool to Prevent Illicit Wildlife Trade of Songbirds in Brazil
Animal Conservation, EarlyView.Feather isotopes provide clear differences between wild and captive songbirds in Brazil. Combining multiple isotopes improved classification accuracy and revealed individuals falsely declared as captive‐bred. These results demonstrate the potential of isotope analysis to detect wildlife laundering in the bird trade.
