Fine‐scale substrate heterogeneity in green roof plant communities: The constraint of size
The unique negative/neutral heterogeneity–diversity relationships that are found in plant‐soil study are displayed in our green roof study. Our findings allow to examine some of the existing theory and suggest towards the population viability theory. Abstract Heterogeneity–diversity relationship (HDR) is commonly shown to be positive in accordance with

Abstract BACKGROUND The first step in the contamination of leafy vegetables by human pathogens is their attachment to the leaf surface. The success of this is influenced strongly by the physical and chemical characteristics of the surface itself (number and size of stomata, presence of trichomes and veins, epicuticular waxes, hydrophobicity, etc ...

Pest categorisation of non‐EU Margarodidae
Abstract The Panel on Plant Health performed a pest categorisation of species in the family Margarodidae (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha; Coccoidea). Of 107 species of Margarodidae, 97 are not known to occur in the EU. Margarodids are cosmopolitan soil‐dwelling species. The nymphs suck on the roots of host plants, while the adults have no mouthparts and do not

Summary Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni is popular source of plant‐derived low/no‐calorie natural sweeteners (LNCSs), collectively known as steviol glycosides (SGs). Nevertheless, genetic predisposition for targeted biosynthesis of SGs is complex due to multi‐substrate functionality of key uridine diphosphate glycosyltransferases (UGTs).

Ecotype‐Level Genetic Biodiversity of Five Italian Traditional Crops
Italy displays a high level of agrobiodiversity due to its diversified pedoclimatic zones. The Administrative Region of Campania includes several and divergent biomes, occurring close to each other. In fact, the distance between a sea level environment and that of high mountains can be less than 20 km.
