Efficacy of a Cue-Mate Intravaginal Insert and Injection of Prostaglandin F2α for Synchronizing Estrus in Hanwoo Cattle

open access: yesJournal of Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology, 2014
The present study was performed on farm animals to test the effectiveness of progesterone-releasing intravaginal device (Cue-Mate® 1.56 g) and injection of prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) for synchronization estrus in Hanwoo cattle.

The Effect of Different Estrus Synchronization Methods on Reproductive Performance in Laparoscopic Artificial Insemination Program in Morkaraman Sheep

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Agriculture: Food Science and Technology, 2022
This study investigated the reproductive performance, lamb survivability, and growing performance of Morkaraman ewes, the estrus of which was induced by natural and synthetic progesterone and which were inseminated by laparoscopic technique at the end of

The reinsertion of controlled internal drug release devices in goats does not increase the pregnancy rate after short oestrus synchronization protocol at the beginning of the breeding season

open access: yesJournal of Applied Animal Research, 2018
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of reinserting controlled internal drug release (CIDR) devices after fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) on pregnancy rates in goats. Oestrus was synchronized with a short (5 days) CIDR protocol, and FTAI was

Effect of controlled internal drug release insert on conception rate of repeat breeder cows

open access: yesIndian Journal of Animal Sciences, 2022
The present study was aimed at improving the conceptionrate in repeat breeder cows (N=43) suffering from functional form of infertility with the use of controlled internal drugrelease device (CIDR) pre- and post-insemination.

Characteristics of oestrus and conception rate in postpartum dairy cows induced ovulation by using 3000 IU of hCG in 5-day and 7-day cidr-based oestrus synchronisation protocols* [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, 2020
The aim of the study was to compare oestrus characteristics and evaluate the conception rate of postpartum dairy cows by inducing ovulation using 3000 IU hCG in 5-day and 7-day CIDRbased oestrus synchronisation protocols.

Fluorescence Behavior of Water‐Soluble Porphyrins Immobilized on LTA Zeolite and Its Chlorogenic Acid Polyphenol Sensing in Coffee Wastewater

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
During coffee bean and cherry washing, contaminants are released into water, making this process a major source of water pollution. Chlorogenic acid can be efficiently detected using hybrid zeolite–porphyrin materials by measuring fluorescence quenching, achieving detection limits lower than current regulatory thresholds.

Intraday Functional PCA Forecasting of Cryptocurrency Returns

open access: yesJournal of Forecasting, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We study the functional PCA (FPCA) forecasting method in application to functions of intraday returns on Bitcoin. We show that improved interval forecasts of future return functions are obtained when the conditional heteroscedasticity of return functions is taken into account.

Factors associated with the reproductive performance of ewes inseminated laparoscopically in England and Wales: A longitudinal study

open access: yesVeterinary Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Laparoscopic intrauterine artificial insemination (Lap‐AI) is used in sheep genetic improvement programmes. However, the lambing rate (LR) (i.e., the proportion of inseminated ewes that lamb) following Lap‐AI is variable. Previously, one small UK study investigated factors associated with LR, but it did not adjust for dependencies ...

Superovulation Using CIDR in Holstein Cows.

open access: yesJournal of Reproduction and Development, 1994
Three trials were conducted to investigate the superovulatory response of Control Inter-nal Drug Releasing device (CIDRR). Forty-six Holstein cows were divided into three treatment groups per trial; CIDRR without progesterone (P4) (Control), CIDRR containing 1.9 g P4 for 12 days (CIDRR-1) and the two CIDRR with P4 replacing with a new CIDRR on day 9 of
