HPV vaccination following cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 diagnosis and risk of progression

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 2, Page 377-385, February 2026.
HPV vaccination in women undergoing active surveillance for CIN2 does not offer a protective effect against progression to CIN3+. Women should be informed that vaccination is not a substitute for clinical follow‐up and should be encouraged to adhere to recommended surveillance and treatment protocols Abstract Introduction Human papillomavirus (HPV ...

Association of the Early Response to an Oral Shape‐Shifting Superabsorbent Hydrogel Capsule With Weight Loss

open access: yesClinical Obesity, Volume 16, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Early response (ER) to treatment is predictive of longer‐term weight loss. In this post hoc analysis, ER to an oral shape‐shifting superabsorbent hydrogel capsule (Epitomee) combined with a lifestyle intervention was compared to placebo combined with a lifestyle intervention.

LncRNA H19‐Encoded Micropeptide altH19 Promotes DNA Replication and Mitosis in Myeloma Cells by Enhancing the Phosphorylation of CDK2 at Threonine 160

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 59, Issue 2, February 2026.
The micropeptide altH19 interacts with phosphorylated CDK2 (p‐CDK2), subsequently activating CDK2 phosphorylation. This enhances the downstream E2F1 target gene RB activity, which accelerates DNA replication, ultimately leading to rapid myeloma cell mitosis and proliferation.

Biogeographic Regions Within Indomalaya: An Integrated Approach Using Bird Distributions

open access: yesJournal of Biogeography, Volume 53, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Biogeographic regions define areas of shared species distributions and provide a framework for testing evolutionary hypotheses. Recent quantitative methods have improved the delineation of these regions, but each relies on assumptions about how species distributions are summarised and varies in sensitivity to spatial scale.

Clustered Land Restoration Projects Increase Cloud Formation in West African Drylands

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
Abstract Land restoration projects are implemented across Africa to combat land degradation and climate change. By changing the vegetation cover, these projects can potentially impact cloud formation through changes in energy and water partitioning between the Earth's surface and the atmosphere.
