Abstract Background Platelet‐rich fibrin (PRF), a second‐generation autologous platelet concentrate, has gained significant interest for its anti‐inflammatory and regenerative characteristics. Tracer testing assessed hydraulics and nitrate removal in three full‐scale agricultural drainage treatment wetlands over 3.5 years (three tests). The first test showed rapid, short‐circuited flow and low residence time. After modifying the collection system, the second test increased residence time from 1 to 7 days.
