Matsuda–Heck reaction with arenediazonium tosylates in water

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
An environmentally friendly Matsuda–Heck reaction with arenediazonium tosylates has been developed for the first time. A range of alkenes was arylated in good to quantitative yields in water.

Regioirregular and catalytic Mizoroki-Heck reactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
[EN] The palladium-catalysed cross-coupling reaction between alkenes and aryl halides (the Mizoroki-Heck reaction) is a powerful methodology to construct new carbon-carbon bonds.

Modulation of lignin and anthocyanin homeostasis by GTP cyclohydrolase1 in maize

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Summary Maize is a key biomass resource with wide agricultural applications. Anthocyanins, potent antioxidants, offer health benefits like reducing oxidative stress. The biosynthesis of anthocyanins competes with that of lignin for shared metabolic precursors, which can lead to trade‐offs in plant growth and feed quality.

Molecular changes in agroinfiltrated leaves of Nicotiana benthamiana expressing suppressor of silencing P19 and coronavirus‐like particles

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Summary The production of coronavirus disease 2019 vaccines can be achieved by transient expression of the spike (S) protein of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 in agroinfiltrated leaves of Nicotiana benthamiana. Relying on bacterial vector Agrobacterium tumefaciens, this process is favoured by co‐expression of viral silencing suppressor

LRM3 positively regulates stem lodging resistance by degradating MYB6 transcriptional repressor in soybean

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Summary Stem lodging resistance plays a critical role in maintaining soybean yield stability, yet the molecular mechanisms governing stem development and lodging tolerance remain poorly understood. Here, we report the characterization of lodging‐related mutant 3 (lrm3), a weak‐stemmed soybean line exhibiting increased lodging susceptibility.

Visible light mediated activation of vinyl halides [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This thesis starts with a brief introduction to vinyl radicals in organic chemistry. Beginning with early examples such as the combination of SnBu3H and AIBN in the 1980s, it later focuses on the generation of such intermediates through more benign ...

A model for the adaptation of Euryale ferox leaves to aquatic environments through EfCGT1‐controlled flavonoid C‐glycoside‐specific accumulation in epidermis cells

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
Summary With changes in complex environments, plants, especially their leaves, are constantly adapting. Aquatic plants face more diverse and harsh survival situations. However, their adaptive mechanisms are largely unknown. Euryale ferox is a floating leaf aquatic plant characterized by large and rapidly expanding leaves that serve as a model for ...
