TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The composition of the two inscriptions in the courtyard of the Old Emami Isfahanie and Shahid Mashhadi [PDF]

open access: yesنگره, 2017
Old Courtyard is one of the oldest parts of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in which various methods of decorations are used. An important group of these decorations are inscriptions which are installed on the porticos and their pillars. Thuluth scroll

Counting visible circles on the sphere and Kleinian groups

open access: yes, 2010
For a circle packing P on the sphere invariant under a geometrically finite Kleinian group, we compute the asymptotic of the number of circles in P of spherical curvature at most $T$ which are contained in any given region.Comment: Main results are ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Heterogeneous UAV Cells: An Effective Resource Allocation Scheme for Maximum Coverage Performance

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper develops an effective approach for the 3D deployment of a heterogeneous set of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) acting as aerial base stations that provide maximum wireless coverage for ground users in a given geographical area. This problem is

Designing Persian Floral Patterns using Circle Packing

open access: yesGRAPP/IVAPP, 2018
In this paper, we present a novel approach toward generating floral patterns. We extract the essence of a pattern aside from its appearance and geometry into combinatorial elements.

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Circle packings in the unit disc [PDF]

open access: yesComplex Variables, Theory and Application: An International Journal, 1997
A Bl-packing is a (branched) circle packing that ``properly covers'' the unit disc. We establish some fundamental properties of such packings. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for their existence, prove their uniqueness, and show that their underlying surfaces, known as carriers, are quasiconformally equivalent to surfaces of classical ...
