The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Circular coloring of random graphs: statistical physics investigation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment, 2016
Circular coloring is a constraints satisfaction problem where colors are assigned to nodes in a graph in such a way that every pair of connected nodes has two consecutive colors (the first color being consecutive to the last). We study circular coloring of random graphs using the cavity method.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Red Beetroot Skin Powder Addition as a Multifunctional Ingredient in Nougat

open access: yesAntioxidants
Beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.) is a plant grown for its roots, which are used to obtain sugar, feed animals, and for human use. Beetroot skin, a by-product of food processing, is a significant source of bioactive compounds, including dietary fiber and ...

Edge Colorings and Circular Flow Numbers of Regular Graphs [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, 2014
AbstractThe article characterizes ‐regular graphs with circular flow number . For this is Tutte's characterization of cubic graphs with flow number 4. The class of cubic graphs is the only class of odd regular graphs where a flow number separates the class 1 graphs from the class 2 graphs.

Circular edge-colorings of cubic graphs with girth six [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series B, 2009
We show that the circular chromatic index of a (sub)cubic graph with girth at least six is at most 7/2.

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

Circular Chromatic Number of Signed Planar Graphs Without Cycles of Length 4 to 9

open access: yesMathematics
Given a signed graph (G,σ) and a positive real number r, if there exists a vertex mapping c:V(G)→[0,r) satisfying that for every positive edge wx, 1≤|c(w)−c(x)|≤r−1 and for every negative edge wx, |c(w)−c(x)|≤r2−1 or |c(w)−c(x)|≥r2+1, then (G,σ) admits a
