Capture in the Circular and Elliptic Restricted Three-Body Problem
Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy, 2004Gravitational capture of small celestial bodies by major planets is an interesting phenomenon in planetary systems and it is often used as a model for investigating of motion of comets, asteroids and moons. As a matter of fact the restricted circular or elliptic three-body problem is the model for the gravitational capture, for example, asteroids near ...

Robust control of the circular restricted three-body problem with drag
International Journal of Control, 2020The robust control of a satellite in a three-dimensional ‘halo’ obit is studied. In order to introduce a quantifiable robust stability margin, as well as maintain a pre-selected orbit, a two-degree...

Libration Points in Schwarzschild’s Circular Restricted Three-Body Problem
Astrophysics and Space Science, 2006The restricted three-body problem in Schwarzschild’s gravitational field is analyzed. The existence of the equilibrium points in the orbital plane is discussed and the corresponding positions are established. There are three collinear libration points, and, if they exist, two triangular libration points (situated in the orbital plane of the primaries).

Local Orbital Elements for the Circular Restricted Three-Body Problem
Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 2023The Keplerian orbital elements make up a set of parameters that uniquely describe a two-body trajectory. Once perturbations are imposed on two-body dynamics, one often studies the time evolution of the orbital elements. Moving in complexity beyond two-body perturbations [that is, studying the dynamics in the circular restricted three-body problem ...

THE YARKOVSKY EFFECT ON THE CIRCULAR RESTRICTED THREE-BODY PROBLEM WITH PERTURBATIONS
Advances in Differential Equations and Control Processes, 2018Summary: The circular restricted three variable body problem with one of the primaries as solar radiation pressure due to which another primary produces the albedo, has been studied. Although, albedo is very small, yet it affects the other celestial bodies.

Attitude dynamics in the circular restricted three-body problem
Astrodynamics, 2018This document reflects the effort of constructing a basis for understanding attitude motion within a multi-body problem with application to spacecraft flight dynamics. The circular restricted three-body problem (CR3BP) is employed as a model for the orbital motion. Then, attitude dynamics is discussed within the CR3BP.
