Experimental and Numerical Investigation of Electromagnetic Wave Propagation Through Conductive Multilayer Coatings

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The proliferation of wireless networking solutions, which are omnipresent in our daily lives, has led to increased exposure to the energy of electromagnetic (EM) waves in the higher frequency range, raising concerns about their impact on human health ...

Tunable High‐Performance Metamaterial Filters Based on Novel SRR Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on two novel SRR configurations and two independent SRR integration approaches, four tunable bandpass metamaterial filters were fabricated with an ultra‐thin ceramic substrate. Among them, SM‐2 achieves over 97% electromagnetic wave transmittance, with a minimal 1.15% deviation in its resonant frequency prediction, making them promising ...

Transmission of EM Waves Passing Through a Multilayer Structure

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings
This article investigates the behavior of an electromagnetic field passing through a composite material—a multilayered structure. The material consists of a dielectric material polymethyl methacrylate (acrylic, plexiglass) to which one or more layers of ...

Unidirectional Evaporation‐Induced Tunable and Continuous Gradient Composite Structure for Absorption‐Dominant Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A continuous conductivity gradient is formed in a porous MXene/melamine foam via directional evaporation, thereby improving impedance matching and enhancing electromagnetic attenuation. The resulting monolithic composite delivers absorption‐dominant EMI shielding with ultralow reflection, offering a simple route toward lightweight EMI shielding ...

Dynamic Evolution‐Controlled Parabolic‐Shaped Microstructures for Ultra‐Black Surface via Self‐Assembled Microsphere Mask Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A robust, substrate‐independent fabrication approach overcomes the spectral and geometric limitations of traditional stray‐light suppression. By combining ink spray‐coating with self‐assembled microsphere mask etching, this method produces parabolic‐shaped microstructures on diverse planar and curved engineering components.

Frequencies of circular segment waveguide

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2006
Frequencies of the circular segment waveguide are determined by the Ritz method. It is found that the cutoff frequency corresponds to an anti-symmetric TE mode. The waveguide with small thickness is also discussed.

Layer‐Dependent Phonon Polaritons in hBN Resolved by Photo‐Induced Force Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Layer‐dependent phonon polariton resonances in hexagonal boron nitride are systematically investigated using photo‐induced force microscopy. The in‐plane resonance exhibits a blueshift, while the out‐of‐plane resonance shows a redshift with increasing thickness. These results establish layer number as a key parameter for tuning polaritonic responses in
