Controlling the chirality of self-assembled polyhedra is a synthetic challenge. Here, the authors stereoselectively form emissive lanthanide tetrahedral cages from a series of chiral ligands, and use their circularly polarized luminescence to explore the

Uranium Doped Gallium Nitride Epitaxial Thin Films
Uranium was controllably added to gallium nitride using molecular beam epitaxy. The uranium atoms segregated into vertically oriented regions with higher doping levels. Concentrations up to a few percent were achieved without showing significant degradation in the crystalline quality or optical characteristics. Low electrical resistivity was maintained

A Dithio Vinylthio C2 Synthon Enabling Crystalline and Luminescent Sulfur‐Decorated Polymers
Transforming CaC2 into a modular C2 building block enables the synthesis of α,ω‐bis(vinylthio) monomer and its conversion into crystalline, sequence‐defined sulfur‐decorated polymers. Their dense thioether clustering induces nonconventional luminescence and provides structure–function control in a more‐sustainable polymer platform.

Optical orientation of electron spins and valence band spectroscopy in germanium
We have investigated optical orientation in the vicinity of the direct gap of bulk germanium. The electron spin polarization is studied via polarization-resolved photoluminescence excitation spectroscopy unfolding the interplay between doping and ...

Valley Coherent Hot Carriers and Thermal Relaxation in Monolayer Transition Metal Dichalcogenides
We show room temperature valley coherence with in MoS2, MoSe2, WS2 and WSe2 monolayers using linear polarization resolved hot photoluminescence (PL), at energies close to the excitation - demonstrating preservation of valley coherence before sufficient ...

Novel emissive liquid crystalline boron C,N‐chelates were prepared by integrating mesogenic units into the boron C,N‐core. Depending on the substituent at the boron, stable SmA or N mesophases were achieved while maintaining intense blue emission with excellent quantum yields (61%–100%).

Lighting up the path to precision oncology: This review comprehensively summarizes the rational design of carbon dots (CDs), elucidating how core size, surface chemistry, and heteroatom doping dictate their luminescence mechanisms. Special emphasis is placed on engineering NIR‐II emissive CDs for deep‐tissue imaging.
