Studies of the Host Plant Suitability of Ardisia solanacea and Citrus jambhiri for Citrus Blackfly and Citrus Whitefly

open access: yesThe Florida Entomologist, 1979
Ardisia solanacea Roxb. was comparable to rough lemon, Citrus jambhiri Lush., in the number of eggs of citrus blackflies, Aleurocanthus woglumi Ashby, per plant. Survival of citrus blackflies was greater (P < 0.05) on A. solanacea than on C. jambhiri. Citrus whiteflies, Dialeurodes citri (Ashmead), oviposited on C. jambhiri but not on A.

Preparation of Synthetic Seeds of Citrus jambhiri Using in vitro Regenerated Multiple Plantlets

open access: yesBiotechnology Journal International, 2020
Biotechnological tools are useful for true-to-type propagation. Shoot tips encapsulation is potential for plant development from pre-existing meristematic tissue. MS medium fortified with 1 and 2 mg/L of BAP (6-bezylaminopurine) was found to be suitable for in vitro mass-multiplication of plantlets (10.18 and 13.05 plantlets/explant, respectively) of ...

EFFECT OF VESICULAR‐ARBUSCULAR MYCORRHIZA ON CITRUS JAMBHIRI WATER RELATIONS [PDF]

open access: yesNew Phytologist, 1980
SUMMARYRecovery from water stress was studied on similarly sized VA mycorrhizal and non‐mycorrhizal rough lemon seedlings (Citrus jambhiri Lush). VA mycorrhiza affected stomatal conductance, photosynthesis and proline accumulation, but not leaf water potential, suggesting that most of the effect of the mycorrhizal association is on stomatal regulation ...
