Genetic relationships of some Citrus genotypes based on the candidate iron chlorosis genes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Iron is one of the most important elements in plant mineral nutrition. Fe deficiency is a critical abiotic stress factor for Mediterranean citriculture; the development of marker-assisted selection for this trait would greatly enhance rootstock breeding.

Comparative Transcriptional and Anatomical Analyses of Tolerant Rough Lemon and Susceptible Sweet Orange in Response to ‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’ Infection

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2012
Although there are no known sources of genetic resistance, some Citrus spp. are reportedly tolerant to huanglongbing (HLB), presumably caused by ‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’.

In vitro plant regeneration in rough lemon (Citrus jambhiri Lush) by direct organogenesis

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Biotechnology, 2011
This study was aimed to optimize the organogenesis in rough lemon (Citrus jambhiri Lush), an important citrus rootstock of India. Organogenesis was induced in epicotyl segments of rough lemon seedlings. Three important factors influencing organogenesis in vitro viz. hormone combination, cut modes and photoperiod were evaluated.
