Determination of Aflatoxins in Compound Feedstuffs Containing Citrus Pulp
Abstract A method is described for determining aflatoxins B1, B2, C1, and G2 in compound feedstuffs containing citrus pulp. A finely ground sample is extracted with methylene chloride in a blender and cleaned with lead acetate. An aliquot of the cleaned extract is partitioned into methylene chloride and evaporated to dryness. The residue

Abstract Background The Xinyu tangerine is a geographical indication agricultural product from Jiangxi province, China. During postharvest storage, nutrient loss and pathogen‐induced decay reduce fruit quality. The selection of appropriate preservatives is therefore important for maintaining postharvest quality.

Effects of Citrus Pulp in High Urea Rations for Steers
Effects of pelleted and conventional citrus pulp as a replacement for corn, with soybean meal added to keep protein comparable, were tested in rations with 5% urea and 33.33% sugarcane bagasse for fistulated steers. Thus, all rations were low in readily fermented carbohydrates other than those of corn or citrus pulp.

Dwarfing citrus rootstocks restrict flush shoot growth on the scion, thereby reducing Asian citrus psyllid infestation, dispersal, and huanglongbing (HLB) progression. These findings support the use of dwarfing rootstocks as an effective cultural strategy in integrated HLB management for citrus orchards.

Microbiome‐mediated chemical communication in insects: Implications for pest management
Microbiome–semiochemical interactions involve the following processes: direct microbial synthesis, host gene regulation, precursor biotransformation, microbiome modulation and indirect ecological signaling. Abstract Insects rely on semiochemicals to regulate aggregation, mating, foraging, and host selection. This review synthesizes evidence that insect‐

Flexo‐printable glucomannan‐based biofilm
Abstract Biofilms were synthesised from glucomannan and xylan. The ratio of glucomannan: xylan varied from 90:10 (g/g) to 70:30 (g/g). Nanofibrillated cellulose was added to enhance the mechanical properties of the biofilms. In another approach, glucomannan/xylan suspensions were crosslinked with tartaric acid (TA) or citric acid (CA).
