Abstract The Panel on Plant Health performed a pest categorisation of Hishimonus phycitis (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) for the EU. H. phycitis is a well‐defined species, occurring in tropical and subtropical Asian countries from Iran to Malaysia. H. phycitis is polyphagous.
