Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Design rationale for secure probe storage based on patterned magnetic media [PDF]
We describe the design rationale for a hardware tamper resistant secure storage system based on probe storage with a patterned magnetic medium. This medium supports normal read/write operations by magnetising individual dots perpendicular to the media ...

Response time analysis of a live-cube compact storage system with two storage classes [PDF]
We study a next generation of storage systems: live-cube compact storage systems. These systems are becoming increasingly popular, due to their small physical and environmental footprint paired with a large storage space.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

DYNAMIC ABC STORAGE POLICY IN ERRATIC DEMAND ENVIRONMENTS
The paper describes a dynamic variant of the traditional ABC storage policy. The variant is to be used in manual order picking warehouses where SKUs experience a rather unstable demand. Its objective is to reduce the order picking time.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

A Simulation Model of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems for Long and Heavy Loads
Automated storage and retrieval systems for long and heavy unit loads (LH AS/RSs) are already applied in industrial environments. However, the existing literature does not provide quantitative analyses of how the load-mass distribution influences energy ...

THE CONDITIONS OF THE ROAD TRANSPORT AND STORAGE OF ORGANIC PEROXIDES IN THE CASE OF BENZOYL PEROXIDE [PDF]
Organic peroxides are materials that belong to one of the 13 classes of dangerous goods, i.e., class 5.2. They are characterized by specific hazards and, due to that fact, require strictly determined conditions of storage and transport.

Comparing instance-averaging with instance-saving learning algorithms [PDF]
The goal of our research is to understand the power and appropriateness of instance-based representations and their associated acquisition methods. This paper concerns two methods for reducing storage requirements for instance-based learning algorithms ...
