A New Metric for Class Cohesion for Object Oriented Software

open access: yesThe International Arab Journal of Information Technology, 2019
Various class cohesion metrics exist in literature both at design level and source code level to assess the quality of Object Oriented (OO) software. However, the idea of cohesive interactions (or relationships) between instance variables (i.e., attributes) and methods of a class for measuring cohesion varies from one metric to another.

Quantifying the relationship between carbon dioxide gas emission in relation to the compactness dimension of urban form [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم محیطی, 2018
Introduction: Global warming is an absolute fact and an inevitable threat to life in the environment. Considering that urban areas are an important factor in the increase in CO2 gas emissions, the community needs to take action to reduce greenhouse gas ...

Replication data for: Examining the potentially confounding effect of class size on the associations between object-oriented metrics and change-proneness

open access: yes, 2008
Previous research shows that class size can influence the associations between object-oriented (OO) metrics and fault-proneness and therefore proposes that it should be controlled as a confounding variable when validating OO metrics on fault-proneness ...

Multi-Scale landscape Responses of Vegetation to Urban growth in Makurdi, Nigeria

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Ecology and Life Safety
Rapid urban expansion is reshaping landscapes across Sub-Saharan Africa, but its effects on vegetation structure remain underexplored. This study examines vegetation responses to urban growth in Makurdi, Nigeria, from 2000-2025, using land-use/land-cover

Measuring class cohesion using mutant methods

open access: yes, 2010
Class cohesion is a measure of software quality and maintainability. A highly cohesive class implies that its modules are functionally coherent and integrated.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
