Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

2.45 GHz Class E Power Amplifier for a Transmitter Combining LINC and EER

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2009
A 10 W class-E RF power amplifier (PA) is designed and fabricated using a Cree GaN HEMT. The proposed PA uses an innovative input circuit to optimize band with. At 2.45 GHz the PA achieves a PAE of 60 % at an outputpower of 40 dBm.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

High Efficient CMOS Class-E Power Amplifier with a New Output Power Control Scheme [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2013
This paper presents the design of a novel RF power amplifier (PA) with a new output power control scheme suitable for RF-ICs and portable systems. Employing a class-E amplifier as a drivertogether with soft-switching property of the main power stage ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Development of a RF Class E amplifier to power a ferroelectric plasma thruster [abstract] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
only availableClass E amplifiers are a special class of electronic amplifiers which are highly efficient at delivering power at high frequencies. Class E amplifiers consist of a signal generator, switch, and two LC resonant circuits.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Preliminary study of 50 W Class-E GaN FET amplifier for 6.78 MHz capacitive wireless power transfer

open access: yesJournal of Mechatronics, Electrical Power, and Vehicular Technology, 2020
A preliminary study of Class-E radio frequency power amplifier for wireless capacitive power transfer (CPT) system is presented in this paper. Due to a limitation in coupling capacitance value, a high frequency operation of switching power inverter is ...

Single-Flux-Quantum Bipolar Digital-to-Analog Converter Comprising Polarity-Switchable Double-Flux-Quantum Amplifier [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We present a single-flux-quantum (SFQ)-based digital-to-analog converter (DAC) generating bipolar output voltages, in which the key component is a polarity-switchable double-flux-quantum amplifier (PS-DFQA). The DAC comprised a dc/SFQ converter, an 8-bit
