Cleavage and Identification of Proteins: A Modified Aspartyl−Prolyl Cleavage
Analytical Chemistry, 2000We have developed a method for rapidly cleaving and identifying proteins electroblotted onto poly(vinylidene difluoride) membranes. Cleavage is performed with 10% acetic acid in 7 M guanidine chloride at pH 2.5 for 1 h at 90 degrees C, resulting in fragmentation primarily at aspartyl-prolyl bonds.

Starting from political conflicts reflected in elections, social cleavages are described as societal conflict groups represented by political parties following the typology of Lipset and Rokkan. This presentation is complemented by an analysis of party system change caused by increasing post-material value orientations in affluent societies (Inglehart).

Fracture cleavage and strain-slip cleavage
1982Fracture cleavage and strain-slip cleavage are both non-pervasive cleavages, i.e. the individual cleavage planes are separated by uncleaved slices of rock termed microlithons. Nevertheless, they appear differently in the field and beneath the microscope; the microlithons associated with fracture cleavage are not folded, those associated with strain ...
